The workplace is a major part of our daily lives and can present emotional and cognitive challenges. Adding stresses from our personal lives, these experiences can negatively affect our mental and physical health.
At Aeon NeuroCognition, Dr. Orie Gilad uses her experience as a behaviorist, educator, researcher, and mental health professional to create evidence-based, easy to understand presentation, seminars, and workshops that address struggles arising from life and work.
These presentations and seminars include in-person lectures with practical and effective techniques that have been proven to reduce stress, anxiety and communication barriers, and teach effective emotion, thought, and behavior modification skills.
Everyone. We work with diverse clientele; from first-responders who face continuous exposure to highly-stressful events, healthcare workers such as ER staff and EMTs, corporate employees who face everyday's emotional and cognitive struggles, churches and other non-profit organizations, to school teachers with their complex work environment.
Additionally, Dr. Gilad offers free presentations to the general public that provide psychoeducation and applied solutions to those who may not be able to afford personal therapy or interested in learning more.
I was born and raised in an agricultural community in Israel, in close proximity to the Mediterranean Sea. I spent my childhood climbing trees, exploring open spaces and avidly watching the behavior of animals around me with a fascination that never ceased.
Upon my high-school graduation, I joined the Israeli Defense Force and served as an artillery officer. During those years, I encountered the devastating impact of trauma, as I watched friends and their families struggle through physical and mental symptoms of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This drove me to explore the differences in individual resilience, leading to an academic career in behavior.
I moved the US at the age of 21 and pursued an education in the fields of Behavior, Neuroscience, and Clinical Psychology. After receiving my doctorate degree from Texas A&M University, I joined the US Army, and once again was faced with Soldiers returning from deployment with multitude of Posttraumatic Stress Symptomology (PTSS). As a result, I decided to specialize in trauma & childhood trauma in adults, areas that led to stress and anxiety disorders, as well as other life-challenges.
My work led me to develop specialized presentations, seminars, and workshops that provide education and applicable techniques to directly target the needs of my audience.
I'm passionate about helping people get the most of their lives and eliminate the unnecessary burden of mental strains.
There is no need to live with hardship when there are practical solutions available.
